Droupadi Murmu graces 5th convocation of JC Bose University

Murmu graced the occasion while saying, that the whole world was in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and India was also ready to face the challenges of this revolution and take advantage of the opportunities.

JC Bose University of Science and Technology in Faridabad celebrated its 5th convocation and President Droupadi Murmu attended the event that took place on Wednesday.


The President remembered that the university is named after the great scientist and pioneer of modern science, Jagadish Chandra Bose, who was probably the first scientist in the world who proved scientifically that even trees and plants have feelings and his revolutionary discovery changed the way we look at the botanical world.


The President continued, “India’s rich heritage always made us proud and the youth are a part of this rich heritage and they have to become its flag bearers.” 
She lastly advised the students to trust their abilities and capabilities and move forward with self-confidence to achieve their goals.


Murmu graced the occasion while saying, that the whole world was in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and India was also ready to face the challenges of this revolution and take advantage of the opportunities.


Murmu highlighted that JC Bose University had entered into agreements with many industrial and academic institutions over the past few years and many multinational companies had also established Centres of Excellence on the campus of this university to train students. 


She hoped that all these efforts would yield positive results.


She said the internet in remote areas “has created many online employment opportunities. But we should remember that technology should be used for proper and sustainable development and public interest. Its wrong use can be disastrous.”


The President hailed the university’s effort for playing an important role in making the youth skilled and self-reliant and noted that this university had an impressive list of alumni who had been doing remarkable work in many fields in the country and abroad.


Murmu also advised the university administration to take steps to make the contribution of the Alumni Association more effective.
