Punjab Police have dismantled two terror modules of the banned Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) in Amritsar and Hoshiarpur, arresting five operatives and seizing arms, ammunition, and RDX-based explosives. Authorities said the arrests thwarted an imminent attack and exposed ISI-backed networks directed by handlers abroad.

Ahead of the Assembly elections, the Assam government disbursed over Rs 300 crore as one-time financial aid to more than six lakh tea garden workers under the ‘Eti Koli Duti Paat’ scheme, reinforcing welfare outreach to tea tribes and Adivasi communities across the state.
