PM Modi calls for export-oriented Indian agriculture

March 6, 2026, 02:50 PM - 2 min read

The Prime Minister also drew attention to the promotion of Agarwood in the North East and temperate nut crops in the Himalayan regions.

Administrative sources said that out of the nearly 60 lakh voters currently marked as “Under Adjudication,” only about 6.5 lakh names have been examined so far.

According to commission sources, the officers — 100 each from Odisha and Jharkhand — are expected to arrive in the state within the next two days. The move is aimed at accelerating the scrutiny of voter records, particularly in eight districts of South Bengal where the workload is the heaviest.
