In a post on X, the Indian Army’s ADGPI wrote, “He was briefed on ongoing counter-terrorism operations, the effectiveness of the security grid and measures undertaken to maintain sustained vigilance.”

“He assessed deployment posture, surveillance measures, and security arrangements and reviewed the overall readiness of formations deployed in the sector.”

The visit of Dendias comes a few weeks after the India-EU FTA was signed.

The racket was allegedly run through a network of handlers operating from multiple countries, coordinating the sale and transfer of oil cargo between seagoing vessels. Initial investigations indicate that the vessels frequently changed their identity to evade detection by law enforcement agencies.

Singh further witnessed the multi-agency Exercise TATRAKSHA. The drill showcases integrated coastal & amphibious operations, new-gen weapon systems, and enhanced jointness for future-ready Armed Forces.

"HAL confirms that five aircraft are fully ready for delivery, incorporating major contracted capabilities in accordance with the agreed specifications. An additional nine aircraft have already been built and flown. Upon receipt of engines from GE, these aircraft will be made ready for delivery," the public sector aerospace and defence company said.

He was received at the airport by Indian Ambassador Suhel Ajaz Khan and Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Saud Al-Sati. In his previous assignment, Sati was Saudi Arabia's envoy to India.
