Prime Minister Modi chaired the 3rd national conference on chief secretaries in New Delhi on December 28th and 29th, 2023.
Building on the inaugural conference held in Dharamshala in June 2022 and a subsequent meeting in Delhi in January 2023.
This event marks a significant contribution to continuation of collaborative efforts to address key governance issues. Discussions during the conference are further expected to contribute to the formulation of impactful policies for the nation's development.

"Over the last two days we attended the Conference of Chief Secretaries, with fruitful deliberations on a wide range of policy related issues and also discussed on means of ensuring better service delivery as well as ensuring good governance for all citizens"
This year's primary theme at the conference was "Ease of Living" encompassing five key sub-themes: Land & property, electricity, drinking water, health and schooling.
Moreover, special sessions on various topics including cyber security, AI, aspirational block & district programme, state roles in scheme in rationalisation and autonomous entities were also blanketed.
The conference even exhibited best practices from different states and union territories, providing an opportunity for others to adopt successful strategies or tailor them to their specific needs.
