Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decisive actions, including surgical and air strikes inside Pakistan following terror attacks, have strengthened India's security.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Vejalpur, Shah praised Modi's leadership for elevating India's economy from the 11th to the fifth position within a decade, expressing confidence in further progress to the third spot globally during Modi's prospective third term.
Shah, contesting the Lok Sabha elections from the Gandhinagar constituency, highlighted the contrast between the previous Sonia-Manmohan government's response to terrorism and Modi's tenure.
He recalled the frequent bomb explosions during that era, contrasting them with the strengthened security measures under Modi's leadership.
Reflecting on the BJP's past electoral success in Gujarat and Modi's subsequent ascension to the prime ministerial position, Shah emphasized the government's resolute response to terrorist attacks like Uri in 2016 and Pulwama in 2019.
He pointed that under Modi's leadership, such threats are met with swift and decisive action.
"In response to these attacks, we swiftly executed surgical and air strikes inside Pakistan, demonstrating Modi's commitment to securing the nation," Shah claimed.
