Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur paid a visit to Bengaluru on Thursday. He addressed a road show put up in favour of Tejaswi Surya, who is contesting from Bengaluru South on BJP’s ticket. Surya is the national president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
While addressing a gathering of IT professionals, Thakur spoke to media personnel and commented on an indecent statement made by Congress leader Randeep Surjewala on BJP MP Hema Malini.
He denounced the Congress for insulting the women force of our nation.
“On the issue of Sandeshkhali, Mallikarjun Kharge had said that all this keeps happening. A Congress spokesperson commented against Kangana Ranaut. Now, another leader disrespected Hema Malini ji. This is the anti-women character of Congress. There is Modi ji who passed the Nari Shakti Vandan Act for women’s rights and on the other side there are Congress leaders who insult women every day.”
He, futher, said: “Congress has become RSVP party, that is, Rahul, Sonia, Vadra, Priyanka party whereas MODI means Maker of Developed India. Scams such as 2G, Commonwealth, Coal and others came to light during Congress’s reign. The INDI Alliance is a platform for all corrupt people.”
Thakur took a jibe at Rahul Gandh’s candidature from Wayanad. “After being chased away from Uttar Pradesh, he is contesting from Wayanad with the support of terrorist outfits. In Karnataka too, the Congress party worked to save Popular Front of India (PFI).”
Hinting on the development in Karnataka, Thakur said: “Today, there is a highway till Chennai from Bengaluru. Be it Vande Bharat, the new international airport or making Bengaluru an IT hub, the Modi government has done whatever the people needed.”
“In the last 10 years, over 25 crore people have come out of the poverty line. Free ration has been given to 80 crore poor, 12 crore toilets, houses made for four crore people, Ujjwala connection reached 10 crore women, over 14 crore people gets tap water. Health insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh for 60 crore poor people has been given by the BJP government,” added Thakur.
In an attempt to praise Surya, Thakur acknowledged him as a young leader who will break all records.
