Nag Ashwin, best known for directing the National Award-winning 2018 biographical drama Mahanati, helms Kalki 2898 - AD. This film marks Deepika Padukone and Prabhas' first collaboration, while Deepika has previously appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the 2015 film Piku.
The duo will also star together in the Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood movie The Intern, which originally featured Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
Mrunal Thakur rose to fame starring in the TV show Mujhse Kuchh Kehti... Yeh Khamoshiyaan, and later gained popularity for her role in Kumkum Bhagya. She has recently appeared in The Family Star, Pippa, and Hi Nana alongside superstar Nani. In addition, she was part of Gumraah, Lust Stories 2, and Selfiee last year.
Mrunal Thakur is recognised for her impressive performances in movies such as Sita Ramam, Super 30, Toofaan, Batla House, Love Sonia, and Ghost Stories, among others. She has also acted in Dhamaka alongside Kartik Aaryan and Jersey, in which she stars opposite Shahid Kapoor.
