On Friday night during the COP28 summit in Dubai, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni shared a photo alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reacting to the selfie, PM Modi wrote \"Meeting friends is always a delight.\", while resharing the picture on his X (formerly Twitter) account. Meloni had initially posted the photograph with the caption, \"Good friends at COP28 #Melodi.\"
In an earlier post, Modi had shared details of his meeting with Meloni during the summit, emphasizing the collaborative efforts between India and Italy for a prosperous and sustainable future. Currently attending the COP28 Summit in Dubai, Modi also launched a 'Green Credit Initiative' aimed at creating carbon sinks through public participation.
Additionally, he proposed India as the host for COP33 in 2028. Throughout the summit, Modi engaged with various global leaders, including Isaac Herzog of Israel, Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Emmanuel Macron, the President of France.
