Ukraine has received $3.9 billion in non-repayable financial assistance from the United States, according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.
Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko stated on Monday that the grant would help the Ukrainian government cover priority social and humanitarian expenditures without increasing the nation's debt burden.
The funds will be used to finance wages for teachers, rescuers, and public employees, as well as provide aid to internally displaced persons, low-income families, and people with disabilities, according to Xinhua news agency.
Since February 2022, Ukraine has received a total of $27 billion in grants from the US to support its budget. This year, Kyiv is expected to receive $7.8 billion in budget support from Washington.
