Switching to academic achievements, Modi spotlighted the recent success of Indian students at the International Mathematics Olympiad. The Indian team won four gold medals and one silver medal, placing them among the top five teams globally.
Modi interacted with the young mathematicians, who shared their experiences and preparations. Students like Aditya Venkat Ganesh and Siddharth Chopra from Pune, Arjun Gupta from Delhi, Kanav Talwar from Greater Noida, Rushil Mathur from Mumbai, and Anando Bhaduri from Guwahati discussed their journey and the rigorous effort required to excel in such a prestigious competition.
Aditya and Siddharth spoke about their interest in mathematics since childhood, nurtured by their teacher, Om Prakash Sir. Arjun and Kanav highlighted the role of family support in their success. Rushil and Anando shared insights on overcoming the fear of mathematics, emphasising the importance of understanding concepts rather than rote learning.
Modi also introduced the audience to Charaideo Maidam in Assam, which has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. He explained its historical significance and the unique cultural practices associated with it, encouraging listeners to include it in their travel plans.
The Prime Minister then turned his attention to Project PARI, an initiative promoting public art across India. This project supports emerging artists in beautifying public spaces with their creative works, thus enhancing the cultural landscape of the country. In a heartwarming segment, Modi shared the success story of over 250 women from Rohtak, Haryana, who transformed their lives through the handloom industry.
