Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be marking their presence in Tripura on August 27 for the inauguration of the newly constructed Shanti Kali Temple.
The temple, situated in Barkathal village in the Mohanpur sub-division of Tripura's West district, is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali.
Former Tripura MP Rebati Tripura announced the visit of the two chief ministers after a review meeting held at the temple site. The meeting, chaired by Chittaranjan Maharaj, focused on the arrangements for the inauguration.
The Tripura government has confirmed the participation of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and has maintained thar the final confirmation from UP CM Yogi Adityanath is still awaited.
The review meeting was attended by Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma and Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
Chittaranjan Maharaj had previously extended an invitation to the UP Chief Minister during the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir.
"The Assam CM has confirmed his attendance, and we believe the UP CM will also be present," Rebati Tripura stated.
The Shanti Kali Temple's construction has been a significant achievement for Tripura, reflecting the state's dedication to preserving its cultural heritage. The temple is expected to become a major attraction for both locals and tourists from neighboring states.
