Four were dead on the spot with 24 being injured after a canter hit a stationary truck after suffering a tyre burst on the road, the police said. The incident occurred at midnight in Noida's Dankaur area.
Police said the deceased have been identified as Sompal (50), Rohit (25), Raju (35) and Arjun (38).
Meanwhile, the injured are being treated at a hospital.
Sharma Band Party of Tej Garhi Chaurahe in Meerut was going to Faridabad in a canter around 2.30 am on Sunday. They were returning after performing at a programme in Hapur when the accident took place, leaving 4 dead.
As per the reports, the canter driver lost control after the tyre burst, hitting a parked truck on the roadside.
Police is looking into further details of the case, including checking the speed of the vehicle through CCTV footage.
