Two unidentified attackers shot a 40-year-old man in a village here in Punjab, the police authorities said on Wednesday.
The incident happened on Tuesday night when the victim- Ranvir Singh was returning to his home from gurdwara in Tahli village. Singh was a resident of Chohana village.
Singh is currently being treated in a hospital in Jalandhar, as stated by police.
The two motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire at Singh in Tahli. They fired three shots and one of the bullets hit Singh in the shoulder. The assailants fled after shooting him, police said.
Police are scanning footage of CCTV cameras installed near the attack site to identify the accused.
