The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) is set to host the Clean Economy Investor Forum in Singapore, an event aimed at mobilizing investments into sustainable infrastructure, climate technology, and renewable energy projects.

 

Launched in May 2022, the IPEF currently comprises 14 partners including Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, United States, and Vietnam.

 

It serves as a collaborative platform for regional countries to advance resilient, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth, fostering cooperation, stability, and prosperity.

 

The framework is structured around four pillars: Trade, Supply Chain, Clean Economy, and Fair Economy.

 

The IPEF Clean Economy Investor Forum is a key initiative under the framework, bringing together top investors, financial institutions, innovative companies, startups, and entrepreneurs from the region.

 

Its primary objective is to attract investments towards sustainable infrastructure, climate technology, and renewable energy projects. 

 

The Department of Commerce serves as the nodal agency for IPEF engagements, with the IPEF Clean Economy Investor Forum being managed by Invest India, India’s National Investment Promotion Agency.

 

The forum presents two distinct tracks for Indian industry participation, with PwC Singapore and HolonIQ acting as knowledge partners.

 

Under the Climate Tech Track, the forum invites applications from climate tech companies and startups across member countries, offering them the opportunity to present their innovations to global investors. Interested parties can apply until April 26, 2024, with applications evaluated by regional and industry experts. Shortlisted companies will then showcase and pitch their ideas at the Investor Forum in Singapore on June 5th - 6th, 2024. 

 

In the Infrastructure Track, India will highlight select investible sustainable infrastructure projects at the 2024 Forum. Focus sectors include energy transition, transport and logistics for ex-Electric Vehicles, EV charging points and waste management.
