M&M partners with Adani total energies E-mobility to expand EV charging infrastructure

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) announced on March 21 that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Adani Total Energies E-Mobility (ATEL), a subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Limited.

M&M signs MoU with Adani Total Energies E-Mobility to broaden EV charging infra access


Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) announced on March 21 that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Adani Total Energies E-Mobility (ATEL), a subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Limited.  The collaboration aims to establish an expansive EV charging network across the nation.

 

The partnership holds the promise of accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in India, according to a statement released by the SUV manufacturer.

 

" The initiative aligns with India's ambitious climate action objectives, marking a substantial step towards building a greener and more sustainable future", M&M highlighted.

 

Under the MoU, the two entities will work towards deploying e-mobility solutions that offer seamless access to charging infrastructure, covering aspects such as discovery, availability, navigation, and transactions.

 

This effort is set to benefit M&M's XUV400 customers, who will gain access to over 1,100 chargers through the Bluesense+ App, thereby enhancing the convenience and accessibility of electric vehicle charging for Mahindra EV owners.

 

Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M, said "The alliance is pivotal in enhancing EV charging infrastructure, ensuring that customers enjoy smooth access to the charging network and seamless digital integration for an unparalleled EV experience", adding that, M&M is  committed to enhancing customer experience by actively onboarding multiple partners to expand the EV ecosystem and drive the adoption of electric vehicles.

 

Suresh P Manglani, Executive Director & CEO of Adani Total Gas, lauded the collaboration as a significant step towards expanding the footprint of Adani Total Gas Ltd in the EV space.

 

Manglani emphasized that the partnership with M&M for charging infrastructure would enhance customer trust in adopting EV technology as part of the energy transition. 

 

He noted that such initiatives would contribute to reducing carbon emissions and assist India in achieving its climate action goals.
