Ajit Doval has been reappointed to his key role in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved these reappointments, effective from June 10.

Mr. Doval will serve in their positions for the duration of the Prime Minister's term or until further orders. He has been accorded the rank of Cabinet Minister in the Table of Precedence.

Ajit Doval, often referred to as the spymaster, has been India's National Security Adviser (NSA) since 2014, when Narendra Modi first took office. An Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Kerala cadre, Doval has also served as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

His reappointment underscores the trust and reliance placed on his expertise in handling national security, military affairs, and intelligence matters. Over the years, Doval has been a pivotal figure in shaping India’s security strategies and has played a significant role in several key operations and diplomatic initiatives.

Also the appointment committee appointed Dr. P K Mishra as Principal Secretary to PM Modi same until next orders.

Dr. P K Mishra, a retired 1972 batch officer, has been reappointed as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. Dr. Mishra has been closely associated with Prime Minister Modi for the past decade, having previously served as the Union Agriculture Secretary before retiring.

In his role, Dr. Mishra will continue to oversee administrative matters and appointments within the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). His extensive experience in public administration and his close working relationship with the Prime Minister have been critical in ensuring smooth governance and the effective implementation of policies.

The reappointment of these two senior officials highlights the continuity and stability within the Prime Minister's core team. Their combined experience and expertise are seen as vital to advancing the government's agenda and addressing the complex challenges facing the nation.

Mr. Doval’s role as NSA will continue to be crucial, especially in the context of evolving global security dynamics and regional challenges. His strategic vision and operational acumen are expected to guide India's security apparatus in safeguarding national interests.

Dr. Mishra’s role as Principal Secretary is equally important in ensuring efficient administration and policy implementation. His deep understanding of bureaucratic processes and his ability to coordinate across various government departments have been instrumental in driving the government's development and reform initiatives. His reappointment is a testament to his effectiveness and the confidence that the Prime Minister places in his capabilities.

Both Mr. Doval and Dr. Mishra have had distinguished careers and their reappointments are expected to bring stability and continuity to the government's functioning. As India navigates complex domestic and international landscapes, their roles will be critical in steering the country towards growth, security, and prosperity.

The ACC's decision to reappoint them reflects the strategic importance of their contributions and the need for experienced leadership in these pivotal positions.

The continued presence of Ajit Doval and P K Mishra in the Prime Minister's core team ensures that the government will benefit from their seasoned leadership and expertise as it works to implement its vision for the country's future.
