The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently conducting raids at the premises of Delhi AAP MLA Gulab Singh Yadav, according to sources familiar with the matter.

This development comes shortly after the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal by the central agency in connection with the excise policy case. Kejriwal has been remanded to a six-day custody by a Delhi court.

Amidst the ongoing turmoil surrounding the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at the premises of Delhi AAP MLA Gulab Singh Yadav on Saturday, adding another layer of complexity to the political landscape of the national capital. Gulab Singh Yadav, representing the Matiala constituency in Delhi, found his residence under scrutiny as the ED intensified its investigative efforts.

The ED's action comes in the wake of the recent arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP's national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, in connection with the alleged excise policy scam. Kejriwal's detention, which occurred just two days prior to the ED raid on Gulab Singh Yadav's residence, sent shockwaves through the AAP ranks, further deepening the crisis within the party.

Arvind Kejriwal's arrest stems from accusations related to money laundering in the context of the excise policy case. The ED, alleging AAP's significant involvement in the proceeds of crime generated from the Delhi Liquor Scam, pointed to the party's purported use of illicit funds in the election campaign for the Goa Assembly elections in 2022. The agency claimed that a substantial sum, approximately Rs 45 crore, was channeled towards AAP's electoral endeavors in Goa, raising serious questions about the party's financial integrity.

Moreover, the ED's remand note implicated Kejriwal directly in the formulation of the excise policy, alleging his complicity in a conspiracy to favor certain private entities and derive personal benefits through kickbacks. The agency's assertions underscored the depth of Kejriwal's alleged involvement in orchestrating the excise policy scam, suggesting a deliberate misuse of power for personal and political gains.

The repercussions of Kejriwal's arrest reverberated across the political spectrum, casting a shadow of uncertainty over AAP's future prospects. The party, known for its anti-corruption stance and promises of clean governance, now finds itself embroiled in a high-stakes legal battle, grappling with allegations of financial impropriety and malfeasance.

The ED's decision to raid Gulab Singh Yadav's residence in the aftermath of Kejriwal's detention signals a widening crackdown on AAP leaders suspected of involvement in various illicit activities. The move underscores the agency's determination to unearth the truth behind the alleged wrongdoings within the party, further amplifying the pressure on AAP amidst a volatile political climate.

As the investigation unfolds and the ED delves deeper into the intricacies of the excise policy scam, AAP faces mounting challenges on multiple fronts, testing its resilience and ability to weather the storm of controversies and legal proceedings. The outcome of these developments remains uncertain, with the specter of uncertainty looming large over AAP's political fortunes in the foreseeable future.
