Jagan resumes bus tour after stone-pelting incident

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy resumes bus yatra, followed by his injury.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, resumed his election campaign on Monday from Kesarapalli. He was injured on Saturday night when stones were hurled at him in Vijayawada.

Jagan took rest on Sunday after receiving a small cut above his left eyebrow.

The state-wide bus yatra ‘Memantha Siddham’ resumed from where it came to an halt in Kesarapalli.

There is a medical band-aid on the place of his injury. Reportedly, it will be there till the the cut fully heals.

Jagan has started his election campaign with same fervour. He will campaign in two key constituencies Gannavaram and Gudivada that have Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Kodali Nani as sitting MLAs.

However, after the incident, security has been beefed up. Senior DSPs, CIs, and trained police officers are deployed for his security fleet. Every zone that Jagan will go as part of his yatra will be first surveyed by the security and intelligence department.

In a similar vein, CCTV cameras have been installed on the bus through which Jagan will tour. Also, it is speculated that Jagan might comparatively spend less time on the top of the bus for security reasons.
