Amaq, a news agency affiliated to terror group ISIS, released a video on Saturday that it claimed was recorded by one of the attackers at Crocus City Hall, a concert venue complex in Moscow, where more than 130 people were killed and scores wounded last Friday.
News agencies reported that this could suggest that the attackers had direct links to ISIS for sending the video. The footage is unverified as of now.
The video shows four men with blurred faces, their voices distorted, at a location similar to the Crocus City Hall complex. About 90 seconds long, it shows one of the men signalling to the other, who then starts shooting. Blood can be seen on the floor with fire blazing at a distance
The very graphic video also showed an attacker slitting the throat of a man lying on the floor. The four men then walk inside a building.
Amaq had earlier published a statement in which ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, according to Russian state media TASS, four suspects with links to the attack had been held in the Bryansk region and taken to Moscow for interrogation. The interior ministry was quoted by Russian media as saying that all of them were foreign citizens.
The purported confession of one of the attackers that he had received money to carry out the killings was published by Russian domestic news agency RIA Novosti on Telegram. It has also not been verified.
