The Bharatiya Janata Party launched its poll manifesto for Jharkhand Assembly polls focusing largely on cash incentives for women and unemployed youth, job creation and tribal development in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah today in Ranchi.
Launching the manifesto named as ‘Sankalp Patra’ Shah attacked the JMM led INDI Alliance for corruption, Bangladeshi infiltration and “cheating the people of the State”.
Shah said that the manifesto was prepared after taking suggestions from 1,82,000 people, while 45,000 people have given their opinion on WhatsApp, 28,000 people through QR code and 352 intellectuals, who have given their suggestions in written form.
Giving a crux of the manifesto, the Union Home Minister said that the BJP plans to launch Go Go Didi Yojna in the State, through which Rs 2100 will be transferred to poor women of the State on every 11th day of the month.
Also, free LPG cylinders will be made available to women on Diwali and Raksha Bandhan.
He further promised employment to five lakh youth in five years and immediate filling of 2, 87,500 government job vacancies as soon as a new BJP led government is made in the State. He further said that a yearly recruitment calendar will be made and one lakh youth will be given employment every year.
According to the manifesto, graduate and post graduate students will get Rs 2000 under ‘Yuwa Sarthi Scheme’ as assistance for them to prepare for competitive examinations.
Shah also said that the paper leak mafia will be sent to jail after CBI and SIT investigation. Girls to get free higher education in higher and technical institutions.
The Union Home Minister said that the party is very serious about stopping Bangladeshi infiltration. And, as per the manifesto it will make a special law to return land to women, whose land has been taken by infiltrators.
According to the poll manifesto Re 1 stamp duty scheme in the name of women will start again in the State, every poor will get a pucca house, 21 lakh houses under PMAY will be built, tribal religious places will be developed.
Also, memorials in the name of martyrs and freedom fighters of the State named Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Sido Kanhu, Nilambar Pitamber, Budhu Bhagat, Poto Ho and others will be built.
Shah made an announcement that if BJP government is made in the State Uniform Civil Code will certainly be implemented in Jharkhand, but the tribal culture and rituals and traditional norms will be kept untouched from the law.
Some other important points of the manifesto include establishment of 10 new medical colleges, increase in the maximum limit of Ayushman Bharat and Jeewan Dhara schemes to Rs 7 lakh extendable up to Rs 15 lakh, increase of beds in CHC and PHC hospitals up to 25000.
Shah said that illegal mining will be made impossible in Jharkhand, Mukhiyas monthly salary will be increased to Rs 5000, 24 hour toll free helpline will be set up for safety of women, 25000 km new rural roads will be made, Jharkhand Johar Bhawan will be built in all major cities of the country.
Also, pension for old and widows will be increased to Rs 25000, all tribal languages of Jharkhand will be taught and used in educational institutions and efforts will be made to include the main languages in 8th schedule of the Constitution.
On the occasion of manifesto launch Union Minister and Jharkhand election in charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister Sanjay Seth, Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand election co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma, Jharkhand BJP unit president Babulal Marandi, former Union Minister Arjun Munda along with senior BJP leaders were present.
