The upcoming International Conference on Advancements of Research and Global Opportunities for Holistic Ayurveda, known as AROHA-2024, is set to take place from October 17 to 19, 2024, at the All India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi.
This marks a significant milestone as it is the first-ever international gathering focused on Ayurveda, showcasing its potential on a global platform. The event will offer both in-person and virtual participation, making it accessible to a wide audience interested in the integration of traditional Ayurvedic practices with modern scientific approaches.
The conference will be inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Justice of India, Dr. Justice Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud. His presence, along with esteemed dignitaries, will add prestige to the occasion.
Notable guests include Shri Prataprao Jadhav, the Minister of State for Ayush and Health and Family Welfare, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, and Dr. Shyama Kuruvilla, Director (ad interim) of the Global Traditional Medicine Centre at WHO, Jamnagar.
Other distinguished attendees include Lt. Gen. Madhuri Kanitkar, Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, and Padma Bhushan Prof. Shiv Kumar Sarin, Director of ILBS.
The theme of AROHA-2024, "Advancements in Research and Global Opportunities for Holistic Ayurveda," aligns with the vision of the All India Institute of Ayurveda to establish Ayurveda as a fundamental aspect of global health and wellness.
According to Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Nesari, the director of AIIA, the conference aims to bring together scholars, industry leaders, and Ayurveda experts from various countries, including Japan, Colombia, Australia, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Argentina. This gathering will foster discussions on the synergy between traditional Ayurvedic wisdom and contemporary scientific advancements.
The conference agenda encompasses a broad range of topics relevant to Ayurveda. Discussions will include areas such as ethnomedicine, quality control, standardisation, diagnosis, drug delivery, evidence-based practices, and globalisation.
Renowned experts will share their insights, combining practical and theoretical knowledge about Ayurvedic practices. This exchange of information is expected to enhance the understanding of Ayurveda's role in the modern health landscape.
AROHA-2024 will feature an engaging program, including three days of workshops and 16 scientific sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss over 400 research papers, highlighting the latest findings and developments in the field of Ayurveda.
The All India Institute of Ayurveda has established a global footprint through collaborations with various academic and scientific institutions in over 17 countries.
