The Indian Army and the Indian Air Force (IAF) have jointly executed a para-drop operation at an altitude of nearly 15,000 feet.
This "first-of-its-kind" mission involved the deployment of the Aarogya Maitri Health Cube, a critical trauma care unit developed under Project BHISHM (Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri).
The operation aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of enhancing humanitarian aid and disaster relief (HADR) capabilities, focusing on delivering critical supplies to remote and affected areas.
The IAF utilised its C-130J Super Hercules tactical transport aircraft to airlift and precisely para-drop the health cube, showcasing the aircraft's advanced capabilities.
The Indian Army’s Para Brigade, known for its operational expertise, played a crucial role in the successful deployment, using state-of-the-art precision drop equipment.
This mission not only highlights the advanced operational capabilities of the Indian armed forces but also underscores their ability to support HADR operations in some of the most challenging terrains.
The successful deployment of the BHISHM trauma care cube reflects the synergy and joint efforts of the Army and the IAF, reaffirming their commitment to providing timely and effective assistance as first responders in disaster scenarios.
