Delhi Schools Water Issues Blamed On BJP By Atishi.

Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi has delivered a sharp critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), asserting that it would be a significant achievement for the BJP if they manage to secure even a single seat in the 2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly election.

Drawing on the previous election results, Atishi highlighted the BJP's failure to meet their own expectations in 2020 when they aimed for over 45 seats but secured only eight. She attributed this anticipated poor performance to various alleged scams and actions by the BJP that she claims have adversely affected the people of Delhi.

Atishi accused the BJP of undermining Delhi's water supply through their governance in Haryana and of conspiring to damage the city's government schools. She emphasised that the BJP’s continuous efforts to disrupt the lives of Delhi residents would be a significant factor in their potential electoral defeat.

In a related matter, Atishi also addressed the recent directive from Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena, which ordered the suspension of the transfer of 5,000 government school teachers.

This decision came after Saxena temporarily halted the transfers as an interim measure. Atishi, who serves as the Education Minister, expressed her strong opposition to any actions that might hinder the progress of Delhi's educational reforms.

Atishi criticised the BJP, claiming that on July 2, they orchestrated the overnight transfer of 5,000 teachers through the Lt Governor, despite her orders as the Education Minister.

She praised these teachers for their pivotal role in transforming Delhi's government schools over the past decade, alongside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. She credited their dedication and hard work for elevating the quality of government schools to surpass that of private institutions.

Atishi welcomed the Lt Governor's decision to stop the transfers, viewing it as a victory for the AAP’s commitment to fighting for the rights of teachers and the education of Delhi's children.

She reaffirmed her party's dedication to ensuring that the educational progress made in recent years would not be undone. Atishi vowed that the AAP government would continue to advocate for teachers' rights and the educational welfare of the city's students, resisting any future attempts to disrupt the educational system.

In her concluding remarks, Atishi reiterated her confidence that the BJP’s actions would lead to their downfall in the upcoming elections. She stressed the importance of the AAP's ongoing efforts to safeguard the interests of Delhi’s teachers and students, promising relentless opposition to any measures that threaten the educational advancements achieved under the current administration.
