A Bangladeshi YouTuber, known for his channel "DH Travelling Info," has ignited a firestorm on social media after an old video of him detailing how to enter India illegally resurfaced and went viral.
The video, which has garnered widespread attention, shows the man explaining that no official documents, such as a visa, passport, or identity card, are necessary to cross the border from Bangladesh into India.
Filmed in Sunamganj District, part of Bangladesh's Sylhet division, the video features the YouTuber standing at a border entry point.
He nonchalantly points out a road leading into India, while also discussing the potential repercussions for those attempting to use this route, including possible encounters with Border Security Force (BSF) officers.
As the video progresses, the YouTuber reveals the location of a BSF camp in India and even shows tunnels that could be used for illegal entry.
Despite issuing a cautionary warning against such actions, stressing that illegal crossings would tarnish Bangladesh's reputation, the video has sparked significant controversy and debate online.
Since being shared on Instagram, the video has amassed over 200,000 views, received more than 7,000 likes, and attracted a flood of comments.
Users have expressed their concerns over border security and the apparent ease with which illegal crossings can be made.
One Instagram user, Aparajita Deshpande, voiced a common sentiment: “Is BSF sleeping on this? If a YouTuber knows the way, then everyone knows. So what is BSF doing all this time at the border!?”
Another user highlighted the prevalence of such issues in border states, recounting how their friend from Meghalaya mentioned frequent cross-border grocery trips.
On a more optimistic note, user Amir Raza Khan commented, "It is good that he showed it, now we can reinforce these positions."
