A labourer, Anand Kushwaha, from Chhapra in Bihar has become a millionaire overnight. It turned out fortune was smiling on Anand who hails from Parsa in Chhapra, Bihar, as he won Rs 1 crore on an online gaming platform.
After facing financial hardships, Anand relocated to Bangalore to work as a labourer. His father, Raja Ram Kushwaha, sells vegetables to support the family, and his mother, Dhanesara Devi, works in fields of other landlords. His family lives in appalling conditions in a three-room house without a proper roof.
Despite these adversities, Anand’s luck changed drastically when he won Rs 1 crore on an online gaming site he had been playing for the last two years. At first, Anand concealed his involvement in online gaming as he lost Rs 22,000 in the game. However, when he won the hefty amount, he told his father immediately.
Initially, Anand’s father was apprehensive to believe what his son had told him but when neighbours started visiting him to congratulate them, he was really happy. The family is planning to utilise the winning amount to construct a decent house and start a business, so that they no longer have to work as labourers in another state. This newfound fortune will also be used to fund the education of the younger family members for their brighter future.
Remembering her family’s struggle with poverty, Anand’s mother expressed her joy and expressed her hope that this fortune would transform their lives. Besides building a new home, the family is also planning to open a shop where his father can work.
