Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasised the vital connection between the success of a developed India and an educated society, addressing a gathering on Sunday.
During an event organised by the Ter Gol Guru Brahmin Samaj Seva Samiti in Gandhinagar, the Chief Minister honoured over 100 students and retired employees of the state, praising their contributions to society.
In his speech, Patel stressed the importance of education as a key driver of progress in the 21st century. He underscored that a nation’s development is closely tied to the education level of its people, urging students to take active roles in shaping a brighter future for India. According to the Chief Minister, the vision of a developed India cannot be realised without a well-educated and enlightened society.
He further highlighted the value of hard work and dedication, stating that those who carry out their duties with sincerity find success with ease. The Chief Minister addressed the attendees at the Town Hall, emphasising that work is not only a responsibility but also a pathway to achieving personal and collective growth. His message was clear—education forms the foundation of development, and society must prioritise it to become self-reliant and sustainable.
Patel also took the opportunity to recognize the achievements of students who had excelled in their 10th and 12th standards, congratulating them on their hard work and academic excellence.
He encouraged the students to continue their efforts toward learning and contribute to India’s growth as a developed nation. Patel's words carried a message of hope, urging the youth to be at the forefront of the country’s progress, especially through education.
In addition to focusing on the importance of education, the Chief Minister touched on the traditional occupations of the Guru Brahmin Samaj, such as astrology and religious rituals.
He expressed the view that these practices, though rooted in heritage, could benefit greatly from the integration of education. By combining modern knowledge with traditional practices, the community could make significant contributions to the broader development of Gujarat and India.
Patel also expressed optimism about the potential of newly appointed state employees, emphasising that their dedication and commitment to public service would positively impact society.
He highlighted the importance of their roles in driving forward the state’s developmental agenda, stressing that their work would play a part in shaping the future of Gujarat.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister presented certificates to the newly appointed employees, retired government workers, and outstanding students.
