The Congress party in Madhya Pradesh has decided to adopt a more aggressive stance against the BJP government following its defeat in the recent Lok Sabha elections. This decision was made during the State Political Affairs Committee meeting held in Bhopal, chaired by Bhanwar Jitendra Singh, the Madhya Pradesh Congress In-Charge.

 

The meeting, which lasted for over eight hours, focused on several key issues, including restructuring the party organisation and establishing a cadre-based system.

 

One of the primary objectives discussed was increasing the participation of women and youth within the party. Each party member will have a specific role to play, aiming to create a more inclusive and active organisational structure.

 

The meeting sought to reach a unanimous consensus among senior leaders on various issues, particularly concerning the formation of a new Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). This new PCC is expected to be announced within the next one to two weeks.

 

During the meeting, Singh also instructed senior party leaders to avoid making unnecessary statements that could benefit the BJP by cornering the Congress leadership.

 

A senior Congress leader mentioned that the lengthy meeting indicated a healthy discussion among the leaders, with a focus on restructuring the organisation and achieving unanimity.

 

Emphasis was placed on establishing ideological commitment among party workers and leaders, addressing the challenges the party has faced in recent years.

 

The Congress leader also highlighted that a consensus was reached regarding the formation of the new PCC team, which will be announced soon. The party aims to rebuild its organisational structure and strengthen its ideological foundation to present a united front against the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh.

 

By adopting this aggressive stance and focusing on internal restructuring, the Congress party hopes to regain its footing and present a formidable challenge to the BJP in the upcoming state elections.

 

The increased involvement of women and youth, along with a well-defined organisational structure, is expected to revitalise the party and enhance its ability to connect with the electorate in Madhya Pradesh.
