The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to participate in Exercise INIOCHOS-25, a major multinational air exercise hosted by the Hellenic Air Force in Greece.
The exercise will be held at Andravida Air Base from 31 March to 11 April 2025, bringing together air forces from across the world to enhance combat readiness and operational coordination.
The IAF contingent will include Su-30 MKI fighter jets, supported by IL-78 mid-air refuelling aircraft and C-17 transport aircraft. These assets will enable the force to engage in complex air warfare scenarios alongside counterparts from fifteen participating nations.
INIOCHOS is a biennial air exercise that integrates multiple air and surface assets to simulate realistic combat conditions. It provides an opportunity for air forces to exchange tactical knowledge, refine combat strategies, and strengthen military partnerships.
The focus of the exercise is on planning and executing combined air operations, improving interoperability, and understanding modern warfare tactics.
By participating in INIOCHOS-25, the IAF aims to enhance its operational capabilities and build stronger defence ties with friendly nations. The exercise will serve as a valuable platform for joint training, allowing the IAF to gain insights into best practices in international air combat operations.
India's presence in INIOCHOS-25 underscores its commitment to global defence cooperation and strategic military engagements. The participation will not only bolster the IAF's preparedness but also contribute to enhanced coordination and mutual learning among participating air forces.
