Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar recently shared optimistic views about India's progress towards what he termed "Ram Rajya." This statement came during the inauguration of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) urban flats in Ghoghla, Daman and Diu.

During the event, Dhankhar highlighted the influence of strong national leadership, particularly pointing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He remarked that the name "Narendra," which combines "Nar" and "Indra," has significantly contributed to the country's achievements.

The Vice-President emphasised that under the current administration, over 21,000 houses have been sanctioned and built in the region through various government initiatives, illustrating the government's commitment to housing development.

Dhankhar expressed confidence in the positive transformations happening in the country, crediting the leadership for making many things possible. He remarked that the approvals and projects initiated are a testament to the effectiveness of the current governance, asserting that every sanctioned project has become a reality.

He also addressed the changes in how prestigious national awards are awarded. Dhankhar noted that the past decade has seen a shift toward recognizing truly deserving individuals for honours like the Padma Shri and Bharat Ratna.

He asserted that this shift reflects a broader change in society and contributes to the movement towards "Ram Rajya," a term that signifies an ideal state of governance characterised by justice and prosperity.

In his speech, the Vice-President highlighted India's role as a central figure in global changes. He stated that major global institutions recognize India as a leader in transformative change. He emphasised that the developments being made are not only significant but also unprecedented in many respects.

Dhankhar pointed out the substantial progress in infrastructure and essential services across the nation. He urged attendees to appreciate the government's efforts that have made electricity, gas connections, and sanitation facilities more accessible. He also mentioned the introduction of solar energy systems by the Prime Minister as part of this transformative agenda.

Acknowledging the economic empowerment initiatives, Dhankhar suggested organising camps for Mudra loans, emphasising that these programs are designed to foster self-employment and job creation.

He underscored the importance of economic empowerment as a means to uplift communities. Education was another focal point of Dhankhar's address. He stressed that education is crucial for societal transformation and encouraged parents to prioritise their children's learning. He expressed a strong belief that the future of the country hinges on the educational achievements of the younger generation.

The Vice-President concluded by urging citizens to reflect on their roles in the nation's development. He reinforced the idea that every individual has a part to play in the journey towards "Ram Rajya."

Present at the event were various dignitaries, including Praful Patel, the Administrator of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, who contributed to the sense of importance surrounding the occasion.

The gathering served not only as a celebration of new housing developments but also as a platform to discuss the broader implications of leadership and progress in India.
