Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar asserted on Friday that India is fully capable of defending its territory and people, citing the government and army's successful efforts to thwart the malicious activities of China and Pakistan. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event, Kumar highlighted Pakistan's history of conflicts with India, including the wars in 1947, 1965, 1971, and 1999, which resulted in decisive defeats for Pakistan.
Kumar paid homage to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1999 Kargil War, praising the government and army for their dec isive action against Pakistan. He commended their efforts in teaching a lesson to Pakistan, underscoring India's strength and determination in protecting its sovereignty. Kumar's statements come on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, which commemorates India's victory over Pakistan in the 1999 Kargil War.
"I salute the martyrs and the injured who sacrificed greatly to safeguard every inch of our land and our people. Their dedication to the nation has shaped a new India," he remarked while honouring former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his contributions.
