A new Army museum has been inaugurated in Jammu and Kashmir’s famous ski resort, Gulmarg, dedicated to showcasing the region’s rich history and cultural heritage.
The new museum also showcases the constructive role of the Indian Army in the region's overall development.
The Gulmarg Army Museum “Gul-A-Seum” was inaugurated by northern army commander, Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar, on Saturday, an Army spokesperson said in a statement.
The museum is an effort to showcase the rich history and heritage of Kashmir and the role of the Indian Army in enhancing the security and development of Kashmir Valley, read the statement.
Army’s Dagger division and its Himalayan Brigade have conceptualised and set up the museum with state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Visitors will learn about the Army's critical role in numerous wartime efforts, its involvement in national development, and the rich cultural tapestry of Jammu and Kashmir.
The museum has artefacts, documents, and interactive displays that offer a peek into the cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir through its unique traditions, art, and historical milestones.
