Delhi’s political landscape is set to undergo a significant change as Atishi, a senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is poised to take over as the Chief Minister of Delhi.
This transition comes after AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal submitted his resignation from the post. According to recent developments, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, VK Saxena, has proposed September 21 as the date for Atishi’s swearing-in ceremony.

Her letter addressed to the Lieutenant Governor regarding the formation of the new government did not specify a date for the ceremony, leading to the LG's decision to propose September 21 for her oath-taking.

"After resigning, Kejriwal said he would leave all the facilities that come with being the CM, including security, and live as a common man. Despite our concerns about his safety, given the number of times he has faced threats, Kejriwal was firm in his decision," Singh explained.
Kejriwal's safety has been a matter of concern for AAP leaders, especially given his history of attacks and threats. Sanjay Singh reiterated this, recalling past incidents where Kejriwal had been targeted physically.
Despite this, Kejriwal remains resolute, trusting that he will be protected. “He said, ‘I lived for six months in jail, and God saved me then. God will save me now too,’” Singh recounted, referring to Kejriwal's time in jail during legal proceedings related to his role in the Delhi Excise Policy case.
