Prashant Kishor to Reveal Party Details on Launch Date October 2nd.

In a significant development for Bihar's political landscape, Prashant Kishor, the head of the Jan Suraaj campaign, has announced the formation of a new political party. During a press conference held recently, Kishor revealed that the official name of the party and details about its leadership will be made public on October 2.

This date holds special importance as it marks the anniversary of the Jan Suraaj initiative, which Kishor launched on the same day in 2022. Kishor emphasised that he has never sought to be the leader of this new party.

He believes that it is time for the people of Bihar to step forward and take charge of their own leadership roles. This announcement comes at a crucial juncture as Kishor has been actively working to engage with the citizens of Bihar, aiming to empower them in various ways.

The Jan Suraaj initiative, according to Kishor, has three main objectives. Firstly, he has made it a point to visit every village in Bihar to educate residents about improving their living conditions and the prospects for their children.

He believes that knowledge is a powerful tool that can bring about positive changes in society. Through these village visits, Kishor hopes to raise awareness about the potential for better living standards.

Secondly, he has called upon the people of Bihar to vote without being coerced by misguided leaders. Kishor aims to foster a sense of independence among voters, encouraging them to make informed choices that reflect their true desires rather than succumbing to external pressures.

He believes that the formation of a new party, supported by the public, will help in establishing a more transparent and accountable political environment in Bihar.

The third objective of the Jan Suraaj initiative is to work towards the overall development of Bihar. Kishor envisions transforming the state into one of the top ten successful states in India.

To achieve this, he plans to create strategies that focus on improving education, agriculture, and employment opportunities across 8,500 panchayats in Bihar. He has expressed a strong desire to see the state thrive and believes that collective efforts can make this vision a reality.

Kishor’s journey began at the Gandhi Ashram in West Champaran on October 2, 2022, and he has since covered about 60 percent of Bihar. He clarified that there is no set timeline or distance for this journey; the only goal is to reach every corner of the state. He remains committed to this mission and intends to continue his outreach efforts, despite the formation of the new party.

As Kishor moves forward, he is also focusing on regions like Supaul and Araria. He reiterated his dedication to the cause and expressed his intention to maintain momentum in the initiative. The announcement of the new party and its leadership on October 2 is just one aspect of a broader strategy aimed at addressing Bihar's challenges.

Looking ahead, Kishor hinted that the second phase of the Jan Suraaj initiative will include proposed solutions to some of the pressing issues facing Bihar. These solutions are expected to be unveiled in February or March 2025. The commitment to ongoing dialogue and engagement with the people of Bihar is a hallmark of Kishor’s approach.
