Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi is expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony of N. Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 12, an official confirmed on Saturday.
Modi, who will be sworn in as Prime Minister at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening, will join dignitaries at the event scheduled for 11:27 a.m. on Wednesday at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram airport.
According to a statement from Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, State Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, and other prominent figures are expected to attend Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony.”
Prasad reviewed the arrangements for the event, ensuring meticulous preparations while senior IAS officer P.S. Padhyumna has been appointed as the state coordinator for the ceremony.
Gannavaram Airport is set to receive several VVIPs for the occasion, highlighting the high-profile nature of the event.
The Chief Secretary further said that comprehensive security and logistical plans to accommodate the distinguished attendees have been made.
