Priyanka Gandhi Urges Global Stand Against Gaza Genocide.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has strongly condemned Israel's ongoing military offensive in Gaza, labelling it as "unacceptable" and "genocidal." On Friday, she called on "every government in the world" to denounce these actions and demand an immediate halt.

In a post on X, Priyanka Gandhi expressed her outrage over the situation in Gaza, emphasising the need for the global community to take a firm stand. She highlighted the suffering of various groups, including civilians, healthcare workers, aid workers, journalists, and numerous innocent children who are falling victim to what she describes as a "horrific genocide."

Priyanka Gandhi's statement urges individuals and governments worldwide to acknowledge their moral responsibility. She emphasised that even Israeli citizens who oppose hatred and violence should join in condemning their government's actions. "It is the moral responsibility of every right-thinking individual including all those Israeli citizens who do not believe in hatred and violence, and every government in the world to condemn the Israeli government’s genocidal actions and force them to stop," she asserted.

Her criticism extended to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who recently received a standing ovation during his address to the joint houses of the US Congress. Many have deemed this address as "historic." Gandhi questioned the civility and morality of such actions, pointing out the irony in Netanyahu's statement about a "clash between barbarism and civilization."

According to her, the true barbarism lies in the actions of Netanyahu's government, which she claims is receiving unwavering support from much of the Western world. "He is absolutely correct, except that it is he and his government that are barbaric and their barbarism is being given the unstinted support of most of the Western world. It is truly a shame to watch," she wrote.

This is not the first time Priyanka Gandhi has voiced her disapproval of the international community's support for Israel's actions in Gaza. In February, she criticized the global community for being indifferent to the genocide occurring in Gaza. She lamented the breakdown of justice, humanity, and international decorum, accusing the world of turning a blind eye to the atrocities.

"All rules of justice, humanity and international decorum have been broken. Humanity has been bled, and each one of us will pay an unimaginable price for this someday unless we raise our voices and stand up for what is right today," she stated on February 22.

Gandhi's call to action is a plea for global solidarity and moral integrity in the face of what she perceives as grave injustices. Her statements reflect deep concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and a demand for accountability and change from the international community.
