No street Namaz for Eid, Alvida Jummah in Sambhal.

Sambhal police have issued directives stating that prayers for Eid-ul-Fitr and Alvida Jummah will only be allowed inside mosques and eidgah, prohibiting any gatherings for namaz on roads or rooftops.

Additionally, the use of loudspeakers during the festivals has not been granted permission.

The decision was announced during a peace committee meeting held at the Sambhal police station, attended by Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shrish Chandra, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dr. Vandana Mishra, and Circle Officer (CO) Anuj Chaudhary.

Authorities emphasized that the regulations aim to maintain peace and order during the festive period.

ASP Shrish Chandra stated that discussions were held with representatives from different religious communities, ensuring that prayers will be conducted within designated religious sites.

Concerns regarding electricity and water supply raised during the meeting were addressed, with officials assuring timely resolution before the festivities.

SDM Dr. Vandana Mishra affirmed that all necessary arrangements for the festivals are in place and an adequate police force will be deployed to ensure security.

Departments responsible for water and electricity supply have been instructed to resolve any related issues in advance.

CO Anuj Chaudhary, who previously sparked controversy over his remarks on religious celebrations, defended his past statements, asserting that he spoke equally for all communities.

He reiterated that communal harmony should be maintained, emphasizing mutual respect between festivals.

The directives come ahead of Alvida Jummah on March 28 and Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31, coinciding with the Navratri festival from March 30 to April 7.

The police aim to ensure that religious observances take place smoothly while maintaining law and order.
