BJP MP Kangana Ranaut visited party president JP Nadda at his residence on Thursday, just days after making controversial comments regarding the farmers' protest.
This marks the second meeting between Ranaut and Nadda since her remarks drew widespread criticism.
Ranaut's remarks, made in an interview, described the farmers' agitation as having the potential to create a "Bangladesh-like situation" in India.
She alleged that the protest, which opposed the now-repealed farm laws, was marred by violence and criminal activity, including "bodies hanging and rapes."
Additionally, Ranaut claimed that there was foreign involvement in a supposed "conspiracy," which drew criticism from opposition parties.
In response, the BJP swiftly distanced itself from her comments. The party issued a statement denouncing her views and clarified that Ranaut was neither authorised nor permitted to speak on party policy matters.
"The BJP has instructed Kangana Ranaut to refrain from making such statements in the future," the statement read.
The party stressed on its commitment to the principles of social harmony and inclusive development.
