Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interacts with locals at the 'Janata Darshan' programme held at his official residence in Lucknow on Monday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a 'Janata Darshan' programme at his official residence in Lucknow on Monday, where he listened to the grievances of people from across the state and assured them of appropriate action. According to a statement from the UP government, more than 50 complainants presented their cases to him.

A woman from Saharanpur, for instance, complained that she did not have a ration card and was allegedly mistreated by a dealer when she went to collect her ration.

Taking a serious note of this, the chief minister directed strict action and reiterated that every public servant must treat citizens with respect, warning that any form of misconduct will not be tolerated.

Most number of cases received on Monday were related to land disputes. A CRPF soldier from Prayagraj sought intervention regarding a land issue, prompting the chief minister to instruct the local administration to resolve the matter immediately. Another land-related complaint came from a woman whose husband is posted in Assam. She reported difficulties taking possession of land she had purchased in Prayagraj. Upon receiving the letter, CM Adityanath directed prompt action.

Manju Devi Tripathi requested financial assistance for her treatment at a private hospital. The chief minister assured her that the government is committed to helping every patient in need and advised her to submit a hospital estimate so that the government could cover the treatment costs.

People with disabilities also presented their grievances. Udham Yadav from Ghazipur sought an increase in his pension, along with facilities such as an Ayushman card, a hand pump, and housing. The chief minister directed officials to address his issues immediately and extend to him the benefits of government schemes. He also personally handed Udham an electronic walking stick.

The statement added that Adityanath also interacted with children who had accompanied their parents to the 'Janata Darshan'. He asked about their studies, wished them a bright future, and gave them chocolates.
