Pop-star and actor Lady Gaga sizzled at the Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony on July 26 with a special performance.
Wearing a massive white plume, surrounded by dancers with pink pompoms the American star performed the popular French song Mon truc en plumes, which translates to ‘My thing with feathers,’ originally sung by dancer and singer Zizi (Renée) Jeanmaire in 1962.
She also played an interlude of La Vie en Rose or 'Life in pink' on piano during the performance.
As Parisians watching from stands and balconies in buildings along the Seine cheered and applauded, giant screens captured every single event at the spectacular opening.
Dancers performed the energetic can-can, throwing up their legs and moving in unison, in tribute to the popular French cabarets of the 19th century.
Earlier, as the parade began, French President Emmanuel Macron and International Olympic Committee head Thomas Bach were in attendance as French football legend Zinedine Zidane was shown sprinting down the streets of Paris with the Olympic flame in a pre-recorded video.
