The Muktsar Sahib police have busted a drug supply racket with the arrest of two drug smugglers and recovery of 4 kg of heroin from them.
Disclosing this on Friday, Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav called it a “major blow to narco-terror networks” in the state. The recovery is the result of a meticulously planned, two-month-long source-based operation, the DGP said in a post on X.
A case has been registered and further investigations are underway to expose the entire network, including its forward and backward linkages, the DGP added.
