Aizawl school welcomes 8 pairs of twins including Headmaster's own, calls it a 'Year of Twins'

These eight sets of twins come from three localities - College Veng, ITI, and Salem Veng - representing a cross-section of the community.

College Veng Primary School in Mizoram's capital city Aizawl has become the talk of the town as it has enrolled eight pairs of twins in this year's academic year.

The 16 children comprise seven pairs of identical twins and a pair of fraternal twins.

The news spread like wildfire on social media, with an image of the 16 twins - seven identical and one fraternal pair - taking the internet by storm.

Adding a personal touch to this delightful story is the Headmaster, H. Lalventluanga's
own twins, a fraternal pair enrolled in KG 1.

Lalventluanga, brimming with pride, expressed his astonishment at this unique phenomenon. "While twins have graced our classrooms before, this is simply extraordinary," he remarked.

These eight sets of twins come from three localities - College Veng, ITI, and Salem Veng - representing a cross-section of the community.

The children, four girls' pairs and three boys' pairs are spread across KG 1 and class 2, adding to the school's vibrant diversity.

Interestingly, the fraternal twins are the Headmaster's own - Remruatdika (boy) and Lalzarzovi (girl) - who will turn five on July 21st. Lalventluanga couldn't help but share this personal detail, adding another layer to this heartwarming story.

The phenomenon isn't limited to Govt. College Veng Primary School. The neighboring Govt. Rev. Thianga Primary School in Bethlehem locality has also witnessed a similar trend, with four sets of twins gracing their classrooms.

This peculiar prevalence of twins in the local schools has become the talk of the town, highlighting a unique aspect of Aizawl's educational landscape.
