Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu launched a scathing attack on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing him of displaying “blatant double standards” in governance and public communication.
Speaking to the media after attending the Punjab Vidhan Sabha session, Bittu questioned the CM’s contradictory stance of allowing a resolution against the Prime Minister in the Assembly while simultaneously scheduling a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
“The Chief Minister should be ashamed of this hypocrisy. You cannot insult the Prime Minister in the Assembly and then go running to the Home Minister for help. The people of Punjab can clearly see through this double-faced politics,” he said, emphasising that the Centre is fully committed to supporting Punjab, particularly in flood relief and rehabilitation.
Bittu defended the BJP’s mock Vidhan Sabha session, saying it was the only way to highlight the flood crisis after BJP leaders were given just three minutes to speak in the Assembly.
