The Jharkhand BJP unit today launched a major attack on Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and said that the party is hand in glove with land brokers.

 

State Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that the documents filed in the PMLA court have made it clear that JMM leaders Antu Tirkey, Saddam Hussain, Afsar Ali and many others have accepted that they had prepared the fake documents of Hemant Soren's 8.86 acres of land.

 

Pratul said that the accused have also accepted that they run a very big racket of transfer posting and land fraud. He said that the land loot scam could be worth billions of rupees.

 

He said shocking facts have come to light from the WhatsApp chat between JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya and Antu Tirkey. 

 

It is clear from this chat that Tirkey, who was involved in the illegal land business, was lobbying Bhattacharya to get DCLR, Khunti, and Praveen Munda’s posting as District Land Acquisition Officer in Ranchi.

 

He said that the brokers also knew that the file had reached the CM House. Pratul questioned how things inside the CM House got leaked and why did Supriyo Bhattacharya not file an FIR when Antu Tirkey told him about it. Is this not a violation of the Official Secrets Act and confidentiality?

 

Pratul said that the information of the file reaching the brokers involved in the illegal land business shows that either the CMO was also involved or these brokers had a hold on the CMO.

 

The BJP leader said that Supriyo Bhattacharya often defended Hemant Soren by giving false statements. 

 

The latest defence was when Rs 36 lakh was recovered from Hemant Soren's Delhi house. At that time Bhattacharya had said that the ED planted this money. 

 

Later, Hemant clarified in his petition to the High Court that he had received the money from the party fund for the treatment of his parents.

Pratul also questioned Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren what is the relationship between his government, party land brokers and people involved in the transfer posting racket.
