Officiating Akal Takht Jathedar and Takht Kesgarh Sahib Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj visited several flood-affected villages in Ajnala on Thursday, accompanied by Baba Satnam Singh of Kar Sewa Qila Anandgarh Sahib. They assessed the damage caused to houses, crops and livestock.

 

Stating that the state and Central governments did not do enough for the flood-affected people of Punjab, Gargaj said they not only failed to reach every affected village, but also did not provide enough boats to relief organisations. He stressed on the need to reach the submerged villages and supply fodder for the cattle.
