In a move towards citizen-centric governance, the Phagwara municipal corporation has become the first civic body in Punjab to introduce a WhatsApp QR Code system for redressing public grievances.
Developed in collaboration with Softel Solutions, this initiative will enable residents to register complaints in a faster and smoother manner.
Speaking about the new system, Municipal Commissioner Dr Akshita Gupta said Phagwara residents can now simply scan a QR code to directly log their grievances through WhatsApp. “The process eliminates paperwork and delays, ensuring a quick, transparent and accessible mechanism for every household. It is a transformative step in bridging the gap between citizens and governance,” she said.
