The Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC) of India Limited, in collaboration with the NGO Manav Vikas Sanstha, has introduced advanced health technology to government medical facilities at the Primary Health Centre in Chuchot, Leh.
The Chuchot Primary Health Centre now boasts a state-of-the-art health ATM machine, capable of diagnosing over 46 health parameters.
This innovative device offers residents quick and comprehensive health screenings, significantly enhancing healthcare accessibility and efficiency.
In-charge Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Leh, Dolma Choskit, highlighted the machine's convenience and efficiency, noting its potential to revolutionise healthcare delivery in the region.
Amit Kumar from ECGC Limited expressed enthusiasm for the new health ATM and said this state-of-the-art machine would benefit the community.
"This initiative reflects the commitment of central and state governments to provide quality and advanced healthcare to people in rural areas," he said.
Kartikeya Tewari of Manav Vikas Sanstha provided an in-depth overview of the health ATM's capabilities.
He said that the device is capable of measuring height, weight, body temperature, detection of glucose levels in blood, haemoglobin range and as well as blood pressure.
It is also capable of detecting several other diseases including cardiovascular ones. "He said the machine performs both invasive and non-invasive blood tests and does heart check-ups and tests for diseases such as dengue, malaria, and Typhoid."
This innovative technological advancement especially in medical sciences will provide a boost to the healthcare setup in the Ladakh region, ensuring that residents have access to comprehensive medical screenings and timely diagnosis, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes.
