Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is holding the state cabinet meeting at the Rani Durgavati Wildlife Sanctuary in Damoh district on Saturday, in honour of the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati. All arrangements for the meeting have been completed.
In addition to the cabinet session, several events, including a public gathering, are being held. CM Yadav will also transfer monthly aid to beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, along with funds for other government schemes.
Following the official events, CM Yadav and his ministers are set to visit the Singorgarh Fort, Rani Durgavati's historic fort, and other significant sites, such as Nidan Falls, located within the dense forests of Singrampur near the sanctuary.
On the occasion, CM Yadav extended his greetings and explained the significance of holding the cabinet meeting at Singrampur, Rani Durgavati's first capital, as a tribute to the ruler's legacy.
"Today is the birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati, and I send my heartfelt greetings to the people of Madhya Pradesh. Her bravery continues to inspire us all. To make this day memorable, we decided to hold the cabinet meeting in Singrampur, the first capital of this great ruler. The idea is to honour her legacy and take decisions in the public interest for the Bundelkhand region," Yadav said.
