Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut dismissed the news of a meeting on Sunday between Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray at a hotel. Raut was rebutting media reports that Fadnavis and Aaditya were at the hotel in BKC at the same hour on Saturday evening.
This is just days after Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray and Aaditya met Fadnavis at Vidhan Bhavan, during which Uddhav presented a book against imposing Hindi.
"What is the problem you (media) have that they are in one room? One is CM and the other is an opposition leader. But nothing of the kind (meeting) took place," Raut said.

Fadnavis's tongue-in-cheek comment to Uddhav about the "scope" for him in the ruling faction sparked speculation last week.
"Uddhav ji, there is no scope (for a change of government) up to 2029. We don't have the scope to move to the other (opposition's) side. You have the scope to come here, and it can be considered. We can consider it differently," the chief minister had stated at a farewell ceremony in the legislative council for the leader of opposition, Ambadas Danve.
