The ex-Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda slammed the Central government over the ongoing farmers' agitation, saying that stopping the protesters at the border is 'undemocratic'. Hooda was speaking with a news agency on Monday.
Hooda further expressed concern over Dallewal's health, calling for the government's immediate attention.
He stated, "The condition of Dallewal is serious. The government should pay attention and find a solution... Stopping (the farmers) at the border is undemocratic... Initially, they were asked not to come with tractor trolleys. They agreed. Now they should be allowed to come. Stopping them is wrong".
The agitating farmers carried out a 'tractor' march in Haryana's Ambala on Monday, after the 'jatha' of 101 farmers was stopped by Haryana police at the Shambhu border, as they attempted a foot march to the national capital.
The protesting farmers are camping at the Khanauri and Shambhu borders against several issues related to agriculture and farmers' rights.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has also announced to hold 'Rail Roko' on Wednesday from 12 noon to 3 pm, amplifying their protest for several demands.
